Lifesystems Magnesium Fire Starter Flint will generate a 2.900˚c (5.400˚F) degree spark in all weather conditions.

The large ergonomic handles on the steel striker and the magnesium rod allows for ease of use when wearing gloves, whilst the 35cm lanyard enables you to securely wear it around your neck or attach it to your gear. The bright orange coloured handles on the flint and the striker stand out on the ground should you drop them.

To spark the magnesium rod, scrape it at a 45º angle with the steel striker applying reasonable pressure.This action can be completed up to 4000 times before replacing.

If you are using the sparks to light a stove, please do not stand over it when striking the flint.
